Hi there! My name is Kristen, and I’m a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in Florida. I’ve always been drawn to anything creative – pencils, pastels, paint, music…you name it! Creating has always felt second nature to me, and in high school, that passion even earned me the Patron’s Choice ribbon twice in the student portion of our local art festival.

I went on to study Business Management at the University of Central Florida. After graduating, I wanted to find a way to combine my love of creativity with the business skills I had learned. That led me to start my own graphic design business, where I design custom WordPress and Squarespace websites, logos, and branding materials for small businesses and organizations. Along the way, I built a strong foundation in digital design, working with tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, and Procreate for the iPad.

While I continue to enjoy helping clients bring their brands to life through thoughtful website design and branding, I also discovered the world of surface pattern design and illustration. I loved the idea that a drawing could become part of someone’s everyday life, whether printed on fabric, stationery, wallpaper, home décor, or other products. It felt like the perfect complement to my work as a designer, allowing me to combine my love of illustration with intentional design.

Today, I divide my creative time between designing websites and brands for clients and creating sweet, whimsical, and playful surface patterns and illustrations. Whether I’m designing seamless patterns, illustrating cute characters, or building cohesive patterns, my goal is simple: to create artwork that brings a little more joy to everyday life.
